sensor electronics configured to process the signal, wherein the sensor electronics comprise a fail-safe module configured to detect a malfunction of the system, wherein the fail-safe module is configured to perform a steady state analysis and a transient analysis of the signal and to evaluate a relationship between the stead state analysis and the transient analysis.
