- displaying a calendar graphical user interface associated with an electronic calendar application in a window on a display screen;
receiving a command from a user to activate a note entry software application;
separately displaying a note entry graphical user interface in another window on the display screen in response to the user'"'"'s command, the note entry graphical user interface associated with the note entry software application and the note entry graphical user interface consisting of a text field, a date field, and a graphical control;
receiving manually typed text in the text field of the note entry graphical user interface;
receiving a date and time that the user has manually typed into the date field of the note entry graphical user interface;
receiving a single selection of the graphical control;
setting a comment property equal to the manually typed text in the text field of the note entry graphical user interface;
setting a begindate property equal to the date and time in the date field of the note entry graphical user interface;
executing object-oriented programming that creates the calendar entry from the comment property and the begindate property; and
storing the calendar entry in the electronic calendar application at the date and time in response to the single selection of the graphical control.
