1. A method comprising:

  • a. at a computing device, storing information to enroll a plurality of individuals such that the individuals become participants in a comprehensive healthy behavior reinforcement plan established by a sponsor entity, wherein the comprehensive healthy behavior reinforcement plan is designed to encourage one or more desired healthy behaviors for the participants, and assigning participants to one of a plurality of groups;

    b. at the computing device, storing baseline data or measurements related to the one or more desired healthy behaviors or its impact on the one or more desired healthy behaviors for each participant;

    c. at the computing device, computing one or more handicapping factors for a participant based on the baseline data or measurements for that participant that represents that participant'"'"'s effort needed to complete at least a particular healthy behavior activity;

    d. generating at a plurality of activity data capture devices activity data that represents participant activities that are relevant to the one or more desired healthy behaviors for each participant;

    e. at the computing device, computing for each participant an adjusted point value resulting from performance of the particular activity based on the handicapping factor that represents that participant'"'"'s effort needed to complete the particular activity, and computing group performance measurement data comprising an aggregate point value for a group of participants based on a sum of adjusted point values for participants in the corresponding group from the performance of the particular activity;

    f. presenting the performance measurement data to the corresponding participant and presenting the group performance measurement data to participants of the corresponding group and to participants of other groups;

    g. comparing the aggregate point values associated with performance of the particular activity for which the groups compete against each other; and

    h. allocating awards to participants based on the comparing.
