1. A system for federating master data management systems, comprising:
- a network-aware adapter configured with a host master data management node, the network-aware adapter including at least;
a network manager operable to maintain link information associated with the network-aware adapter and store master data management network information associated with the host master data management node;
a transaction coordinator operable to coordinate distributed transaction between the host master data management node and one or more of second master data management systems;
a transaction resource manager operable to interact with the host master data management node to commit or rollback a transaction;
a reference change detector operable to detect a reference modification made in the host master data management node;
a reference change sender operable to send a reference modification request to one or more of the second master data management systems;
a reference change receiver operable to receive the reference modification request from one or more of the second master data management systems and populate the modification into the host master data management node;
a master data request interceptor operable to intercept a master data read request made to the host master data management node; and
a master data request handler operable to forward the master data read request to one or more of the second master data management systems that are implemented in registry style, and receive in response returned master data from said one or more of the second master data management systems that are implemented in registry style node, and further forward the returned master data to a requestor.
