1. A wireless sensor network, comprising:

  • a plurality of nodes configured to communicate a first plurality of messages and a second plurality of messages, each of the first plurality of messages having a first network identifier identifying the wireless network and each of the second plurality of messages having a default network identifier identifying the wireless network, each of the plurality of nodes configured to communicate the first plurality of messages through the wireless sensor network based on the first network identifier identifying the wireless sensor network, each of the nodes further configured to communicate the second plurality of messages through the wireless sensor network based on the default network identifier identifying the wireless sensor network, wherein the first network identifier and the default network identifier are concurrently valid for communicating messages through the wireless sensor network, and wherein each of the nodes is configured to discern the first plurality of messages from messages of foreign networks based on the first network identifier and to discern the second plurality of messages from messages of foreign networks based on the default identifier.
