1. A method for monitoring pain management, comprising:
- detecting, using a sensor, a PPG signal;
generating, using a processor, a PPG waveform based at least in part on the PPG signal;
analyzing, using the processor, one or more baseline features of the PPG waveform;
determining, using the processor, that the one or more baseline features of the PPG waveform deviates over time more than a selected amount; and
generating a signal, wherein the signal indicates at least one of the group of;
an alarm, a request to provide pain management, a request to provide sedation, and a request to provide pain medication.

Abstract
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for monitoring pain management using measurements of physiological parameters based on a PPG signal. A reference physiological parameter may be compared against a later measurement to identify a change in condition that may indicate a pain management problem.
