1. A method for transmitting uplink signals from a user equipment to a base station by a time domain transmission unit of a predetermined size, the method comprising:

  • mapping the uplink signals to a resource block in the time domain transmission unit in accordance with a predetermined frequency hopping pattern using a subband hopping; and

    transmitting the uplink signals to the base station,wherein the subband hopping is defined such that the resource block to be used for mapping the uplink signals is determined based on an index of ‘

    RB(t)’

    , wherein;

    RB(t)=(a reference index+a(t)*NRBsb)mod NRBsb*Nsb,wherein ‘

    t’

    indicates an index of the time domain transmission unit and ‘

    a(t)’

    indicates a random integer value, ‘

    Nsb

    is a number of subbands, ‘

    NRBsb

    is a number of resource blocks for each subband, andwherein the random integer value of ‘

    a(t)’

    is generated as a cell-specific random value using an m-sequence generator which uses cell-specific information as an initial value.
