1. A method for scheduling a plurality of work orders for manufacturing products, each work order including operations to be performed using a plurality of resources and materials in a manufacturing process, the method comprising:

  • obtaining resource availability information and material availability information for the manufacturing process for each work order, the material availability information comprising, for each material used in the manufacturing process for each work order, an identity of the each material, dates when the each material is available, and a quantity of the each material available on each of a plurality of dates;

    obtaining work order information comprising date information for each work order; and

    scheduling operations to be performed for each work order based on the resource availability information and the material availability information, wherein scheduling the operations comprises, for each work order, scheduling the plurality of resources based on the resource availability information and the material availability information, wherein the plurality of resources comprises a main resource and at least one auxiliary resource.
