Abstract

Exemplary embodiments provide a verification technique that facilitates administration of a health-related procedure to an intended recipient patient or group of patients. An interface template may be configured to establish verifiable matching engagement between the patient and various types of objects used to administer the health-related procedure.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia;

circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template; and

circuitry configured for signaling to provide output of at least one patient data record associated with the patient to at least one display monitor in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with at least one patient support structure of a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with at least one patient identity tag of a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template attached to at least one bodily location of a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template attached to at least one health-related device with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template integral with at least one health-related device with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying physical engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying complementary matching engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more health-related issue identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more procedure identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more patient identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more group identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface shapes.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface protrusions and/or recesses.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include multiple identifying surface indicia.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia comprises:

circuitry configured for verifying, using one or more conductive contacts, engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia.

17. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template comprises:

circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one activation control switch associated with at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

18. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template comprises:

circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one substance dispensing device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

19. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template comprises:

circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one health-related procedure device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

20. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template comprises:

circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one treatment device during a period of engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for signaling to provide output of at least one patient data record associated with the patient to at least one display monitor in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template comprises:

circuitry configured for signaling to provide output of at least one patient data record associated with the patient to at least one display monitor during a period of engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

22. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

circuitry configured for signaling to provide at least one status indication in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

23. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

circuitry configured for signaling to update the at least one patient data record associated with the patient.

24. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

circuitry configured for signaling to enable at least one health monitoring device.

25. A system comprising:

at least one processor;

memory bearing one or more instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, facilitate operations including

verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia,

enabling at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template, and

providing output of at least one patient data record associated with the patient to at least one display monitor in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

26. A system comprising:

one or more non-transitory media bearing one or more instructions for facilitating operations including

verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia,

enabling at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template, and

providing output of at least one patient data record associated with the patient to at least one display monitor in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.

27. A method comprising:

verifying engagement of at least one secondary interface template with at least one primary interface template associated with a patient, wherein at least one of the at least one secondary interface template and the at least one primary interface template include one or more identifying surface indicia;

enabling at least one treatment device in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template; and

providing output of at least one patient data record associated with the patient to at least one display monitor in response to verifying engagement of the at least one secondary interface template with the at least one primary interface template.
