1. A method comprising:

  • verifying, by a computer-based system for depositing funds into a deposit account, that criteria for receiving the funds is met, in response to a triggering event which establishes that at least one deposit has occurred, wherein a transaction account is associated with the deposit account, wherein the deposit account is held by an owner, and wherein the transaction account is held by the owner;

    verifying, by the computer-based system, the transaction account has a predetermined bill payment status; and

    depositing, by the computer-based system, the funds from the transaction account into the deposit account, in response to (1) the verifying the criteria is met and (2) the verifying the predetermined bill payment status is met,wherein the verifying steps are triggered upon the occurrence of an event which establishes that at least one deposit has occurred,wherein the predetermined bill payment status comprises at least one of a bill of the transaction account has been paid, a portion of the bill of the transaction account has been paid, or a threshold amount of the bill of the transaction account has been paid,wherein the verifying by the Computer-based system is not triggered by payment of said bill of the transaction account, and wherein said depositing occurs after an unbundling event and wherein said funds are derived from a bundled remittance.
