1. A computer-implemented method of providing individuals with notifications pertaining to use of health records, comprising:

  • providing a network-accessible storage repository configured to store a plurality of electronic health records regarding a plurality of individuals;

    receiving, over a data communications network, a plurality of requests to access selective electronic health records, wherein each request specifies a selected individual of the plurality of individuals whose records are to be accessed, and wherein each request includes a requestor identifier that identifies the entity initiating the request;

    for each individual whose respective records are accessed, generating a report by use of one or more computing processors, wherein the generated report includes a listing of each request to access records associated with the individual and the respective requestor identifier for each request; and

    providing the reports to the respective individuals.
