1. A computer memory having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that when executed by a system cause the system to perform operations comprising:
- monitoring an incentive to purchase an item or service for a predetermined time period after purchase of the item or service by a consumer;
comparing the incentive to transaction information recorded for a consummated transaction related to the purchase of the item or service during the predetermined time period to determine if the incentive was offered as part of the consummated transaction, the transaction information including information identifying a consumer; and
in response to determining that the incentive was not offered as part of the consummated transaction, duplicating the incentive for the consumer after the consummated transaction.

16. A computer memory having stored thereon computer-executable instructions that when executed by a system cause the system to perform operations comprising:
-
recording a first price for a consummated transaction on an item or service and information identifying a consumer associated with the consummated transaction; monitoring the sales price of the item or service for a predetermined time period after purchase of the item or service by the consumer; noting any price lower than the first price for the item or service during the predetermined time period; calculating a money-value difference between the first price and said any price lower than the first price; refunding the money-value difference to an account of the consumer; and duplicating for the consumer any incentive accompanying sales of the item after the consummated transaction and during the predetermined time period. - View Dependent Claims (17, 18, 19, 20, 21)

22. An apparatus comprising
a processor; - and
a storage device operably coupled to the processor, the storage device having instructions stored thereon that if executed by the processor cause the apparatus to perform operations comprising monitoring an incentive to purchase an item or service for a predetermined time period after purchase of the item or service by a consumer; comparing the incentive to transaction information recorded for a consummated transaction related to the purchase of the item or service during the predetermined time period to determine if the incentive was offered as part of the consummated transaction, the transaction information including information identifying a consumer; and in response to determining that the incentive was not offered as part of the consummated transaction, duplicating the incentive for the consumer after the consummated transaction. - View Dependent Claims (23, 24, 25, 26)

27. An apparatus comprising
means for monitoring an incentive to purchase an item or service for a predetermined time period after purchase of the item or service by a consumer; -
means for comparing the incentive to transaction information recorded for a consummated transaction related to the purchase of the item or service during the predetermined time period to determine if the incentive was offered as part of the consummated transaction, the transaction information including information identifying a consumer; and means for duplicating the incentive for the consumer after the consummated transaction, wherein the means for duplicating the incentive duplicates the incentive in response to determining that the incentive was not offered as part of the consummated transaction.
