1. A computer-readable storage device storing a plurality of instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to display a graphical representation for a path by:
- determining a set of path segments associated with the path;
determining a set of angles associated with the path;
grouping the angles in the set of angles into a set of one or more groups;
determining a value for each group in the set of groups based upon one or more path segments from the set of path segments associated with the angles in the group; and
outputting a radial vector plot for the path, the radial vector plot comprising a bar for each group in the set of groups, wherein bar for each group has a length representing the value determined for the group based upon the length of the one or more path segments and wherein the bar is rotated from an origin by an average angle representative of the group.

12. A system for displaying information related to a path, the system comprising:
-
a display; a processor; and a memory coupled with the processor and having stored therein a sequence of instruction which, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to; determine a set of path segments associated with the path; determine a set of angles associated with the path; group the angles in the set of angles into a set of one or more groups; determine a value for each group in the set of groups based upon one or more path segments from the set of path segments associated with the angles in the group; and output a radial vector plot for the path on the display, the radial vector plot comprising a bar for each group in the set of groups, wherein the bar for each group has a length representing the value determined for the group based upon the length of the one or more path segments and wherein the bar is rotated from an origin by an average angle representative of the group. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20)

21. A computer-implemented method for displaying a graphical representation for a path, the method:
-
determining, by a computer system, a set of path segments associated with the path; determining, by the computer system, a set of angles associated with the path; grouping, by the computer system, the angles in the set of angles into a set of one or more groups; determining, by a computer system, a value for each group in the set of groups based upon one or more path segments from the set of path segments associated with the angles in the group; and outputting, by the computer system, a radial vector plot for the path, the radial vector plot comprising a bar for each group in the set of groups, wherein the bar for each group has a length representing the value determined for the group based upon the length of the one or more path segments and wherein the bar is rotated from an origin by an average angle representative of the group.
