1. A computer-implemented method of sorting one or more animals, the method comprising:

  • receiving one or more sales order requirements;

    electronically identifying, by a computer, one or more animals;

    receiving, by the computer, livestock shipping information comprising weather information and livestock mortality rate information for one or more possible livestock shipping routes;

    receiving, by the computer, an indication of an availability of at least one shipper for at least one of the one or more possible livestock shipping routes;

    sorting, by the computer, the one or more identified animals into at least one subgroup based at least in part on (i) one or more comparisons of the one or more sales order requirements and animal information about the one or more identified animals, (ii) the livestock shipping information, (iii) the one or more possible livestock shipping routes, and (iv) the indication of the availability of at least one shipper; and

    providing, by the computer, to a user at least one of the livestock shipping information, the one or more possible livestock shipping routes, and the indication of the availability of at least one shipper.
