1. A receiver, comprising:

  • a signal adjust module coupled to receive a Multiple Frequency Bands Multiple Standards (MFBMS) signal including a desired signal component and an undesired signal component, the signal adjust module for substantially reducing adverse affects of the undesired signal component on the desired signal component, the signal adjust module including;

    a low noise amplifier module for amplifying the MFBMS signal to produce an amplified MFBMS signal;

    a programmable filter module for band pass filtering the amplified MFBMS signal based on a programming signal to produce a band pass filtered MFBMS signal, the programmable filter module including;

    a plurality of band pass filters; and

    a selection module for determining a spectral position of the undesired signal component and generating the programming signal based on the spectral position of the undesired signal component, wherein the programming signal selects one or more of the plurality of band pass filters;

    a subtraction module for subtracting the band pass filtered MFBMS signal from the amplified MFBMS signal to produce an adjusted MFBMS signal; and

    a down conversion module for converting the adjusted MFBMS signal into a down converted symbol stream.
