1. A method of conducting an authentication session, said method comprising:

  • presenting a login window during said authentication session, wherein the login window is a graphical interface, the graphical interface including a plurality of graphical images, one visual characteristic of each of at least two of said images dynamically changing during said authentication session;

    receiving authentication information corresponding to the time at which the occurrence of a preselected one of said dynamically changing images at a preselected position on said graphical interface relative to others of said plurality of graphical images, and having a preselected value of said visual characteristic, is indicated by a user during said authentication session; and

    authenticating the authentication information during said authentication session;

    wherein said indication of said preselected image with said preselected value of said visual characteristic being present at said preselected position is made using an input mechanism operably connected to said graphical interface; and

    wherein tracking information obtained by an external observer tracking the dynamically changing graphical images and tracking said indication provided by said user is insufficient to determine the identity of said preselected image, or of said preselected value, or of said preselected position.
