- a cylinder having an inner circular wall defining a first inside diameter;
a piston reciprocally housed within the cylinder, with said piston having a top land;
a cylinder head attached to an end of the cylinder; and
a one-piece, cylindrical scraper sleeve mounted within a counterbore defined by separate counterbores formed in the cylinder and cylinder head, wherein the scraper sleeve is connected to both said cylinder head and said cylinder.
