Abstract

A system for one or more portions of one or more regions of an electronic paper assembly having one or more display layers includes, but is not limited to: obtaining information associated with one or more changes in one or more sequences of two or more conformations of one or more portions of one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly and controlling display of one or more portions of one or more display layers of the electronic paper assembly regarding display of second information in response to the information associated with the one or more changes in the one or more conformations of the one or more portions of the one or more regions of the electronic paper assembly. In addition to the foregoing, other related method/system aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text forming a part of the present disclosure.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly; and

circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining strain information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly.

3. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

circuitry configured for outputting public content for display from at least one portion of at least one outside surface of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, (a) activating at least one ebook application and (b) signaling to output content associated with the at least one ebook application for display from at least one portion of at least one inside surface of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations along one or more borders of at least one electronic paper assembly.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations within one or more regions of at least one electronic paper assembly.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly that is operable to include one or more virtual regions.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly having one or more touch input portions.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly having memory storing two or more applications that are selectively activatable based on one or more geometries of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

10. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly of at least one of the following types;

electrophoretic, twist ball, liquid crystal, electrofluidic, organic light emitting diode, and liquid powder.

11. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for detecting information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly.

12. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining force information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly.

13. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining pattern information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly.

18. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining ratio information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly.

19. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is persistently in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is persistently in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, (a) activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly and (b) signaling to output content associated with the at least one ebook application for display from at least one portion of the at least one electronic paper assembly using two or more display layers.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, (a) activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly and (b) signaling to output blocking content.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, (a) activating at least one ebook application, (b) signaling to output content associated with the at least one ebook application for display from at least one portion of at least one inside surface of the at least one electronic paper assembly, and (c) signaling to output other content for display from at least one portion of at least one outside surface of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) comparing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly with information associated with one or more predetermined forms that the at least one electronic paper assembly may assume and (ii) if at least one book-like form is recognized based at least partly on the comparing, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly comprises:

circuitry configured for processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one V-shape having at least one specified angle of bend and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one V-shape having at least one specified angle of bend, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

35. A method comprising:

obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly; and

processing, using one or more processing components, the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly.

36. A system comprising:

at least one article of manufacture bearing one or more instructions for facilitating a process including at least

obtaining information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly; and

processing the information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic paper assembly including at least (i) determining whether the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form and (ii) if the at least one electronic paper assembly is in at least one book-like form, activating at least one ebook application of the at least one electronic paper assembly.
