    a sensing grid arranged for sensing a position of a user relative to the display screen;

    a plurality of electrodes arranged at corners of the sensing grid, the plurality of electrodes being electrically connected to the sensing grid;

    a controller configured to receive an output from the sensing grid; and

    a control module configured to identify at least two points on the sensing grid indicating locations on the display screen selected by the user and to identify a geographic portion of the display screen based on the at least two points, the at least two points being related to relative positions of two fingers of the user with respect to a surface of the display screen,wherein the identified geographic portion of the display screen is adapted for variable zooming based on a change in relative distances and height of the two fingers from the surface of the display screen.
