1. A method for removing antiplatelet agents and anticoagulants from a platelet preparation using diafiltration, comprising:

  • circulating a platelet preparation comprising platelets, a short-to-ultra short acting antiplatelet agent comprising a short-to-ultrashort GPIIb/IIIA inhibitor, and a short-to-ultra short acting anticoagulant comprising a short-to-ultrashort acting factor Xa inhibitor through a hollow fiber membrane capable of separating the antiplatelet agent and the anticoagulant from the platelets,wherein a diafiltration buffer is added to the platelet preparation during circulation to maintain a constant volume of the platelet preparation.
