1. A method comprising:

  • enabling a first mode of a first radio communications protocol using a shared radio frequency band and having a first defined schedule for communication in the shared radio frequency band, wherein the first schedule is periodic and has a first interval between communications;

    enabling a second mode of a second radio communications protocol using the shared radio frequency band and having a second defined schedule for communication in the shared radio frequency band;

    enabling the first mode and disabling the second mode at a conflict time at which the first defined schedule and the second defined schedule coincide; and

    adapting a size of the first interval to reduce the conflict time at which the first defined schedule and the second defined schedule coincide.
