1. A computer implemented method, comprising:
- receiving one or more parameters associated with a medication delivery profile;
receiving a monitored analyte measurement data; and
filtering, using one or more processors, the received monitored analyte measurement data based on the one or more parameters associated with the medication delivery profile, wherein filtering includes applying a rate variance filter to the monitored analyte measurement data;
wherein the parameters associated with the medication delivery profile includes a medication infusion rate, wherein when the medication infusion rate exceeds a predetermined threshold level, adjusting the rate variance filter from a predetermined setting to a modified setting to be more responsive to changes in the monitored analyte measurement data after a first predetermined time period lapses, wherein the first predetermined time period is measured from the time the medication infusion rate exceeds the predetermined threshold level.
