32. A method for treating prostate cancer, comprising
determining whether prostate cancer tissue overexpresses a gli-1 gene and administering to a patient in need thereof an amount of a hedgehog antibody sufficient to decrease at least one of the growth or proliferation of the prostate cancer tissue, wherein the prostate cancer tissue overexpresses a gli-1 gene, and wherein the hedgehog antibody binds to Sonic hedgehog protein and inhibits hedgehog signaling.

A method for treating prostate cancer in a patient in need thereof, comprising ascertaining whether prostate cancer tissue overexpresses a gli-1 gene, and administering to said patient in need thereof an amount of a hedgehog antibody sufficient to decrease at least one of the growth or proliferation of the prostate cancer tissue, wherein the hedgehog antibody binds to Sonic hedgehog protein and inhibits hedgehog signaling, and wherein the prostate cancer tissue overexpresses a gli-1 gene.
