1. A near field communications (NFC) device, comprising:

  • an antenna circuit configured to enable inductive coupling, via a magnetic field, of the NFC device and another NFC device in near field range;

    a signal supplier, coupled to the antenna circuit, configured to supply a drive signal to cause the antenna circuit to generate a radio frequency (RF) signal; and

    a receiver, coupled to the antenna circuit, configured to receive a second RF signal inductively coupled, via the magnetic field, to the antenna circuit from the other NFC device in the near field range,wherein the antenna circuit comprises;

    an antenna element coupled in parallel with a capacitor,wherein the antenna element comprises;

    an antenna coil having a tap and a second capacitor coupled in series with the antenna coil, andwherein the receiver is coupled to the tap.
