Abstract

A worksurface arrangement comprising at least a first support member, a first worksurface forming member supported by the first support member at a first vertical height, a second worksurface forming member supported by the first support member at a second vertical height and extending to a first side of the first support member where the second vertical height is different than the first vertical height, the second worksurface forming member including an undersurface, a first cover extending downward below the first worksurface forming member to a lower edge below the second vertical height, a second cover extending downward from a height proximate the undersurface of the second worksurface forming member and spaced from the first cover wherein the first and second covers bound a housing cavity width.

Claims

1. A worksurface arrangement comprising

at least a first support member extending upward from a base end to a top end when the base end is received on a support surface;

a first worksurface forming member supported by the first support member at a first vertical height proximate the top end of the first support member;

a second worksurface forming member supported by the first support member at a second vertical height and extending to a first side of the first support member where the second vertical height is different than the first vertical height, the second worksurface forming member including an undersurface;

a first cover supported by the first support member and extending downward below the first worksurface forming member to a lower edge below the second vertical height;

a second cover supported by the first support member and extending downward from a height proximate the undersurface of the second worksurface forming member and spaced from the first cover wherein the first and second covers bound a housing cavity width.

2. The arrangement of claim 1 wherein the first cover is a front cover and wherein the first worksurface forming member extends to a second side of the at least a first support member opposite the first side.

3. The arrangement of claim 2 wherein the first worksurface forming member has an undersurface and wherein the front cover extends downward from the undersurface of the first worksurface forming member.

4. The arrangement of claim 2 wherein second cover is a lower back cover that extends from an undersurface of the second worksurface forming member.

5. The arrangement of claim 1 wherein the support member includes at least first and second substantially vertical and spaced apart leg members.

6. The arrangement of claim 5 wherein the first and second leg members include first and second parallel surfaces that are within first and second leg planes and wherein the first cover is located at least in part outside the space between the first and second leg planes.

7. The arrangement of claim 5 wherein at least one of the first worksurface forming member and the second worksurface forming member forms first and second openings and wherein the first and second leg members pass at least in part through the first and second openings, respectively.

The arrangement of claim 7 wherein the at least one of the first and second worksurface forming members that forms the first and second openings includes a rear edge proximate the first and second leg members and wherein the first and second openings include first and second notches in the rear edge through which portions of the first and second leg members pass.

9. The arrangement of claim 8 wherein the at least one of the first and second worksurfaces forming members is the first worksurface forming member.

10. The arrangement of claim 7 wherein the first and second displays are mounted to the cover surface via first and second monitor support arm subassemblies.

11. The arrangement of claim 5 wherein each of the first and second worksurface forming members includes a rear edge proximate the first and second leg members, the first worksurface forming member forming first and second notches in the rear edge through which portions of the first and second leg members pass, the second worksurface forming member forming at least one notch through which portions of the first and second leg members pass.

12. The arrangement of claim 1 further including a third cover supported by the first support member and extending upward from the first worksurface forming member to a height proximate the top end of the first support member.

13. The arrangement of claim 12 wherein the first, second and third cover members are substantially parallel.

14. The arrangement of claim 12 wherein the third cover includes a cover surface that faces a second side of the arrangement opposite the first side, the arrangement further including at least one electronic display mounted to the cover surface and supported above the second worksurface forming member.

15. The arrangement of claim 1 wherein the cavity width is between five includes and twenty-four inches.

16. The arrangement of claim 1 wherein the support member is a substantially vertically elongated member and, the arrangement further including at least one monitor support assembly supported at the top end of the first support member.

17. The arrangement of claim 16 wherein the at least one monitor support assembly includes an articulating monitor support arm.

18. A worksurface arrangement comprising

at least a first support member extending upward from a base end to a top end when the base end is received on a support surface;

a first worksurface forming member supported by the first support member at a first vertical height proximate the top end of the first support member;

a second worksurface forming member supported by the first support member at a second vertical height and extending to a first side of the first support member where the second vertical height is different than the first vertical height;

a first cover extending below the first worksurface forming member to a lower edge and forming a cover surface that faces the first side of the first support member, at least a portion of the cover surface residing above the second vertical height;

a housing supported by the first support member and forming a lower housing cavity below the second vertical height that has a lower housing cavity width; and

at least a first electronic display mounted to the cover surface of the first cover and supported above the first worksurface forming member.

19. The arrangement of claim 18 further including at least a second electronic display mounted to the cover surface of the first cover and supported above the first worksurface forming member adjacent the first electronic display.

20. The arrangement of claim 19 further including a monitor support arm assembly supported by the first support member and extending upward from the first vertical height and a third electronic display mounted to the monitor support arm and supported above the first vertical height.

21. The arrangement of claim 20 wherein the monitor support arm assembly includes first and second arm subassemblies, the third display mounted to the first arm subassembly and a fourth display mounted to the second arm subassembly.

22. The arrangement of claim 18 wherein the first support member includes at least first and second substantially vertical and spaced apart leg members and wherein the first cover extends between the first and second leg members.

23. The assembly of claim 22 wherein the lower edge of the first cover resides above a top surface of the second worksurface forming member.

24. A worksurface arrangement comprising

at least a first support member extending upward from a base end to a top end when the base end is received on a support surface;

a first worksurface forming member supported by the first support member at a first vertical height proximate the top end of the first support member;

a second worksurface forming member supported by the first support member at a second vertical height and extending to a first side of the first support member where the second vertical height is different than the first vertical height;

a first cover extending below the first worksurface forming member to a lower edge and forming a cover surface that faces the first side of the first support member and that resides above and adjacent the second worksurface forming member;

at least a first electronic display mounted to the cover surface of the first cover and supported above the second worksurface forming member; and

at least a second electronic display supported by the first support member adjacent and above the first worksurface forming member and facing a second side of the first support member opposite the first side of the first support member.

25. The arrangement of claim 24 wherein the second electronic display is linked to the first support member by an articulating monitor support arm assembly.

26. The assembly of claim 24 wherein the lower edge of the first cover resides above a top surface of the second worksurface forming member.
