1. A system comprising:

  • an access point coupled to a network and arranged at a particular geographic location in a geographic region, wherein the access point is operable to;

    wirelessly communicate with a mobile unit to receive identification information indicating a user of the mobile unit;

    detect the mobile unit;

    after detecting presence of the mobile unit, transmit information including the particular geographic location, the identification information, and a request for a service to a service provider;

    receive data from the service provider, wherein the data is selected based on the identification information, information related to past commercial transactions of the user, and the particular geographic location, wherein the information related to past commercial transactions of the user includes information extrapolated from past practices of the user in commerce that indicates future actions of the user in commerce consistent with the past practices in commerce; and

    transmit the data to the mobile unit.
