1. A method for processing continuous analyte sensor data from a continuous analyte sensor, the method comprising:
- continuously displaying calibrated analyte sensor data from the continuous analyte sensor;
continuously receiving additional sensor data from the continuous analyte sensor, the received additional sensor data comprising at least one sensor data point;
iteratively performing a self-diagnostic test on the received additional sensor data to detect noise above one or more first predetermined criteria within the received additional sensor data; and
suspending a display of calibrated analyte sensor data in response to detection of noise above the one or more first predetermined criteria, wherein the suspended display is continuously maintained until the iterative self-diagnostic test no longer detects noise above one or more second predetermined criteria, wherein iteratively performing a self-diagnostic test comprises detecting at least one of a shift in a baseline of the received additional sensor data or a shift in a baseline of the calibrated analyte sensor data.
