1. A method for targeted advertising, comprising:
- maintaining a website that allows a user to log in and to view a personalized page;
receiving at least one piece of demographic information about the user via the website at a network resource;
accessing the at least one piece of demographic information at the network resource;
maintaining an application for use with a cellular telephone that comprises a display, a non-volatile memory, a processing device operable to execute instructions stored in the non-volatile memory, and at least one wireless transceiver, wherein the application can be launched by the cellular telephone to provide a separate interface for viewing at least a portion of the personalized page on the display of the cellular telephone;
selecting advertisements to be delivered from the network resource to the user based at least in part on the at least one piece of demographic information; and
delivering an advertisement from the network resource to the user via the website and an other advertisement to the user via the application executing on the cellular telephone.

a network resource that is accessible to a user and configured to present the user with a website; a log-in resource that facilitates the user gaining access to a personalized page associated with the website; a graphical user interface that facilitates the user inputting of a piece of demographic information about the user; a memory maintaining the piece of demographic information about the user who has a cellular telephone; a first resource communicatively coupled to the memory and configured to select a particular advertisement that is targeted for a particular demographic group of which the user is a part according to the piece of demographic information; and a communication resource communicatively coupled to the first resource and configured to initiate a sending of the particular advertisement to the user via the personalized page and an other advertisement to the user via the cellular telephone, wherein the network resource, the memory, the first resource, and the communication resource are remote from the user and the cellular telephone. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15)

a computer executable demographic module to identify a first and second piece of demographic information about a user with a portable device that is capable of communicating with a wireless network, wherein the first and second piece of demographic information were collected via a website into which the user input the first and second piece of demographic information; and a computer executable advertising module to select a targeted advertisement to be sent to the portable device and the website, wherein the computer executable advertising module is to select the targeted advertisement based upon at least the first piece of demographic information and to initiate communication of the targeted advertisement to the portable device and the website. - View Dependent Claims (17, 18, 19)
