1. A circuit, comprising:

  • a generating unit for generating at least a current; and

    a diode-resistor block having a pair of electrical components configured to divide the current into at least two paths, one path of the at least two paths including one of a resistor and a potentiometer in series with the pair of electrical components, wherein arc energy variations produced by the generating unit are controlled by the diode-resistor block.
