1. A golf ball consisting of the following three layers:

  • a dual layer core having a diameter of from 1.52 inches to 1.66 inches and consisting of an inner core layer and an outer core layer, the inner core layer having a compression of 40 or less, a Shore C hardness of less than 80, and a specific gravity of 1.11 or greater; and

    the outer core layer having a Shore D hardness of from 55 to 80 and a specific gravity less than or equal to the specific gravity of the inner core layer; and

    a cover layer having a Shore D hardness of from 55 to 80;

    wherein the hardness of the inner core layer is less than the hardness of the outer core layer.
