1. A noninvasive optical sensor comprising:
- a reusable component comprising a first casing, a second casing, and a flexible circuit, wherein the first and second casings are connected by the flexible circuit;
a disposable component comprising a first clip; and
a locking mechanism comprising;
a plurality of tabs extending from the first casing,a plurality of slots in the first clip, wherein the slots are configured to receive the plurality of tabs upon assembly of the reusable and disposable components, anda plurality of holding elements in the first clip, wherein the tabs are configured to slide away from the slots and under the holding elements upon application of the optical sensor around a measurement site, said holding elements vertically fixing said first casing to first clip, wherein the tabs slide away from the slots and under the holding elements due to by tension on the first casing from the flexible circuit due to pull from application to the measurement site.
