An organic light emitting device comprising an anode, a cathode, and an emissive layer, wherein the emissive layer is located between the anode and the cathode, and the emissive layer comprises a phosphorescent organometallic iridium compound, wherein the phosphorescent organometallic iridium compound includes a ligand, wherein the ligand has:

  • a bond from nitrogen to the iridium,a bond from carbon to the iridium, anda cyclometallated ring including the iridium;
