1. A system, comprising:
- an external device, comprisingcommunication circuitry configured to wirelessly communicate with an implantable medical device by producing an electromagnetic field receivable at the implantable medical device, anda storage, wherein the storage stores contraindication information relevant to compatibility of a given activity with the implantable medical device,wherein the external device is hand-holdable and portable; and
an implantable medical device configured to receive the electromagnetic field produced by the communication circuitry of the external device.
