1. An endoprosthesis, comprising:

  • a stent comprising a plurality of longitudinal members defining a plurality of first openings, each longitudinal member is in the form of a wire extending along a direction substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis of the stent; and

    a metallic film comprising an alloy comprising nickel, titanium, and chromium, the metallic film having a thickness of about 50 μ

    m or less, covering at least a portion of the stent, and occluding at least a portion of the plurality of first openingswherein the film includes a plurality of pores having a size suitable to facilitate adhesion of cells thereto;

    wherein each pore has a depth of 25 microns or less.
