1. A liquid crystal display device comprising:
- a first substrate and a second substrate, which are opposed to each other;
a first electrode and a second electrode, which are over the first substrate;
a projection between the first substrate and the second substrate;
a spacer between the first substrate and the second substrate; and
a liquid crystal layer between the projection and the second substrate,wherein a distance between a first end of the projection and the second substrate is shorter than a distance between the first end of the projection and the first substrate,wherein a distance between a second end of the projection and the first substrate is shorter than a distance between the second end of the projection and the second substrate, andwherein the liquid crystal layer includes a liquid crystal molecule and a compound having a polymerizable group.

Abstract
[Problem]
In the present invention, it is an object to improve display quality by improving response speed of a liquid crystal element in a liquid crystal display device, in particular, response speed in the case of falling.
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In the present invention, it is characterized that a liquid crystal layer is divided into plural regions (domains) substantially by mixing a chemical compound including a liquid crystal skeleton in a liquid crystal layer exisiting liquid crystal molecules as a technique to improve response speed of a liquid crystal element in a liquid crystal display device for solving the above problem.
