1. A device comprising:
- a structure;
a generally planar outer frame;
an actuator having a generally planar movable frame and a generally planar fixed frame, the fixed frame being deployed at an angle relative to the outer frame; and
a hinge flexure attaching the outer frame to the movable frame such that the movable frame moves between positions respectively coplanar with the outer frame and the fixed frame when the hinge flexure bends; and
wherein the structure limits a movement of the movable frame.

Abstract
A device may comprise an upper module cover, a lower module cover, an outer frame, and an actuator having a movable frame. The movable frame may be at least partially disposed intermediate the upper module cover and the lower module cover. A hinge flexure may interconnect the outer frame and the movable frame such that the movable frame is rotatable with respect to the outer frame. The upper module cover and/or the lower module cover may be adapted to limit a movement of the movable frame.

12. A system, comprising:
-
a lens barrel; an actuator; a structure; a generally planar outer frame; a generally planar movable frame; a generally planar fixed frame deployed at an angle relative to the outer frame; a hinge flexure attaching the outer frame to the movable frame such that the movable frame is rotatable between positions respectively coplanar with the fixed frame and the outer frame when the hinge flexure bends; wherein the structure, the outer frame, the movable frame, the actuator, and the hinge flexure cooperate to define an actuator module that is disposed substantially within the lens barrel; and wherein the structure limits a movement of the movable frame. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15)

16. A method comprising:
-
providing a structure; forming a generally planar outer frame; forming an actuator having a generally planar movable frame and a generally planar fixed frame, the fixed frame being deployed at an angle relative to the outer frame; forming a hinge flexure attaching the outer frame to the movable frame such that the movable frame is movable between positions respectively coplanar with the fixed frame and the outer frame when the hinge flexure bends; positioning the outer frame, the actuator, and the hinge flexure proximate the structure; and utilizing the structure to limit a movement of the movable frame. - View Dependent Claims (17, 18, 19, 20)

21. A method comprising:
-
limiting movement of a generally planar movable frame of an actuator using a lens to limit bending of a hinge flexure that interconnects a generally planar outer frame of the actuator with the movable frame for movement between positions respectively coplanar with the outer frame and a fixed frame that is deployed at an angle relative to the fixed frame; and wherein limiting movement of the movable frame mitigates double bending of the hinge flexure during a shock. - View Dependent Claims (22)

23. A device comprising:
-
an outer frame; an actuator having a movable frame; a hinge flexure attaching the outer frame to the movable frame such that the movable frame moves with respect to the outer frame when the hinge flexure bends; means for limiting the movement of the movable frame with respect to the fixed frame; wherein the limiting means limits vertical movement of the movable frame with respect to the fixed frame; and wherein the limiting means comprises a plurality of flaps. - View Dependent Claims (24, 25)
