1. A computer-implemented method of providing personalized route information, comprising:
- gathering a plurality of past location indicators over a period of time for a wireless device;
identifying one or more prior travel routes comprising a start point and an end point based on one or more periods of immobility connected by one or more periods of mobility;
correlating the one or more travel routes with one or more reoccurring events;
determining at least one of the prior travel routes is correlated with a current event;
generating a suggested route for the current event based on a location of the wireless device and the at least one of the prior travel routes; and
providing the suggested route for display at the wireless device.

Abstract
A computer-implemented method of providing personalized route information involves gathering a plurality of past location indicators over time for a wireless client device, determining a future driving objective using the plurality of previously-gathered location indicators, obtaining real-time traffic data for an area proximate to the determined driving objective, and generating a suggested route for the driving objective using the near real-time traffic data.

15. A non-transitory machine-readable medium having machine-executable instructions stored thereon, which when executed by a machine or computer cause the machine or computer to perform a method, the method comprising:
-
gathering a plurality of past location indicators over a period of time for a wireless device; identifying one or more prior travel routes comprising a start point and an end point based on one or more periods of immobility connected by one or more periods of mobility; correlating the one or more travel routes with one or more reoccurring events; determining at least one of the prior travel routes is correlated with a current event; generating a suggested route for the current event based on a location of the wireless device and the at least one of the prior travel routes; and providing the suggested route for display at the wireless device. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18)

20. A system, comprising:
-
a processor; and a memory including software that, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to; gather a plurality of past location indicators over a period of time for a wireless device; identify one or more prior travel routes comprising a start point and an end point based on one or more periods of immobility connected by one or more periods of mobility; correlate the one or more travel routes with one or more reoccurring events; determine at least one of the prior travel routes is correlated with a current event; obtaining transportation flow data for an area associated with the at least one of the prior travel routes; generate a suggested route for the current event based on position information for the wireless device and the at least one of the prior travel routes and on the transportation flow data; and provide the suggested route for display at the wireless device.
