1. A method of presenting a set of correlated events on a display, each event having a time of occurrence and at least one attribute indicating its correlation with other events of the set, the method comprising:

  • plotting a first glyph corresponding to a first event of the set on the display at a first radial distance and a first angular position with respect to an origin, the first radial distance and a size of the first glyph being related to the occurrence time of the first event; and

plotting a second glyph corresponding to a second event of the set at a second radial distance and a second angular position with respect to the origin, the second radial distance and a size of the second glyph being related to the occurrence time of the second event, the second angular position being equal to the first angular position of the first glyph, unless the first glyph and the second glyph would overlap on the display, in which case the second angular position of the second glyph is shifted by an amount sufficient to avoid such overlap.
