1. Apparatus for use with at least one labeled radiopharmaceutical agent for administration to a patient, the apparatus comprising:

  • a container containing the at least one labeled radiopharmaceutical agent;

    a computer-communicatable data carrier associated with the container, the data carrier containing data regarding at least one of;

    the at least one labeled radiopharmaceutical agent and the patient; and

    a SPECT imaging system comprising;

    a camera, which comprises a plurality of gamma ray detectors configured to detect photons emitted by the at least one labeled radiopharmaceutical agent;

    a communication element, configured to read the data; and

    a control unit, configured to;

    perform, using the gamma ray detectors, an acquisition of a SPECT image of the patient to whom the at least one labeled radiopharmaceutical agent is administered, andutilize the read data to customize at least the acquisition of the SPECT image by customizing detector motions to effectuate different relative orientations of the detectors during the acquisition of the SPECT image,wherein the apparatus is characterized by a property selected from the group consisting of;

    (a) the data carrier comprises a coupling mechanism configured to be coupled to the patient,(b) the data carrier is physically coupled to the container, and(c) the apparatus further comprises a portable joining element, which is configured to be coupled to the container, and the data carrier is physically coupled to the joining element.
