1. An ultrasonic transmission assembly comprising:
- a) an ultrasonic transmission waveguide having a proximal end and a distal end; and
b) an ultrasonic end effector having a proximal end connected to the distal end of the ultrasonic transmission waveguide and a most distal end, the ultrasonic end effector comprising;
i) a treatment region extending from the most distal end to a point proximal to the most distal end and having at least two functional asymmetries; and
ii) a balance region extending from a node point at said ultrasonic transmission waveguide to the point proximal to the most distal end.
