1. Apparatus for graphical representation of a train of ECG complexes, said ECG complexes respectively comprising an R wave and a T-P interval, each said ECG complex further comprising a respectively variable isoelectric baseline, the apparatus comprising:
- an isoelectric alignment unit configured to obtain an overall alignment baseline for aligning all ECG complexes of said train, and to align said complexes to said overall alignment baseline, said isoelectric alignment unit configured to obtain said overall alignment baseline using irregular sampling of said varying isolectric baselines, said isoelectric alignment unit configured to provide splines for said irregular sampling, said isoelectric alignment unit further configured to associate said splines with knot points indicating voltage values, said isoelectric alignment unit yet further configured to generate said knot points from a linear regression of respective T-P intervals of said ECG complexes of said train, said isoelectric alignment unit configured to control said irregular sampling to assign greater statistical weight to a T-P interval of a respective complex and to assign lesser statistical weight to a P-T part of said respective complex; and
a temporal alignment unit configured to carry out temporal aligning of said complexes using a predetermined point of respective complexes, thereby to provide said graphical representation of said train of ECG complexes.

Abstract
Apparatus for graphical representation of a train of ECG complexes each including an R wave and a T-P interval and having variable isoelectric levels. The apparatus includes an isoelectric alignment unit for aligning the complexes in terms of isoelectric level by aligning respective T-P intervals, thereby to provide a graphical representation of the train of ECG complexes; and a temporal alignment unit for aligning the complexes temporally using a selected point on the respective R waves. The aligned units are superimposed to provide a distribution of a normalized ECG signal over a series of pulses or heartbeats.
