System and method for patient synchronization between independent applications in a distributed environment
First Claim
1. A computer implemented method for synchronizing patient data between at least two independent applications in a distributed computing environment, the method comprising the steps of:
- capturing, by a computer system, screen information from a display window of a first application client that is displaying a medical image of a patient on a screen, wherein the first application is a picture archiving and communication system (PACS);
analyzing, by the computer system, the screen information captured from the first application client display to extract patient identifying information; and
synchronizing, by the computer system, a display of computer-aided detection diagnosis (CAD) information of said patient in a second application system display window on the screen along with said first application display window using said extracted patient identification information;
wherein said second application is a computer-aided detection diagnosis (CAD) system.
