Abstract

A reproduction apparatus is disclosed. A display section displays a screen. A reproduction section reproduces a video signal recorded on a record medium. A display control section selects one of three display screens. A first display screen displays a picture corresponding to an externally input video signal or a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section and information about the video signal in different areas. A second display screen displays setup states of a plurality of keys as a key set that are capable of selecting a plurality of functions, and a picture corresponding to an externally input video signal or corresponding to a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section in different areas. A third display screen displays only a picture corresponding to an externally input video signal or corresponding to a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section.

Claims

1. A reproduction apparatus, comprising:

a display section to display a screen;

a panel on which a key set including a plurality of keys and the display screen are adjacently disposed, the key set positioned externally to the screen displayed by the display section;

a reproduction section that reproduces a video signal recorded on a record medium; and

a display control section to select one display screen of a first display screen, a second display screen, and a third display screen and causes the display section to display the selected display screen,

the first display screen to display a picture corresponding to an externally input video signal or a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section and information about the video signal in different areas,

the second display screen to display

information corresponding to a function each key in the plurality of keys in the key set performs upon operation, the information corresponding to and aligned with a position of each key in the plurality of keys in the key set, and

the picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to the video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section in different areas,

the third display screen to display only a picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to the video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section, and

wherein, upon display of either one of the first and third display screens, each key from the plurality of keys that compose the key set is configured to cause, upon operation, the display section to switch the display from the first or third display screen to the second display screen.

2. The reproduction apparatus as set forth in claim 1,

wherein the display control section causes the display section to display at least the first display screen of the first display screen, the second display screen, and the third display screen as a default screen.

3. The reproduction apparatus as set forth in claim 1,

wherein the display control section causes the display section to switchably display the first screen and the third screen with the same operation.

4. The reproduction apparatus as set forth in claim 1,

wherein the display control section successively switches the display screen in the order of the first display screen, the second display screen, and the third display screen.

5. The reproduction apparatus as set forth in claim 1, further comprising:

a selection section that selects one of the functions of the key set,

wherein the display control section causes the display section to display the second display screen corresponding to an operation of the selection section.

6. The reproduction apparatus as set forth in claim 1,

wherein the display control section stores screen information that denotes a pre-switched display screen,

wherein when a command that causes the pre-switched display screen to be displayed is issued, the pre-switched display screen is displayed corresponding to the stored screen information.

7. The reproduction apparatus according to claim 1, wherein

the panel further includes a page key positioned externally to the display screen, and

upon operation of the page key while the second display screen is displayed, the function for each key in the plurality of keys in the key set is changed.

8. A display method of a reproduction apparatus that has a display section, the display method comprising the steps of:

selecting one display screen of a first display screen, a second display screen, and a third display screen,

the first display screen displaying a picture corresponding to an externally input video signal or a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section and information about the video signal in different areas,

the second display screen displaying

information corresponding to a function each key in a plurality of keys performs upon operation, the information corresponding to and aligned with a position of each key in the plurality of keys, each key in the plurality of keys positioned externally to the display section, and

the picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section in different areas, the plurality of keys included on a panel adjacently disposed to the display section, and

the third display screen displaying only the picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to the video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section; and

displaying the selected display screen on the display section,

wherein, upon display of either one of the first and third display screens, each key from the plurality of keys that compose the key set is configured to cause, upon operation, the display section to switch the display from the first or third display screen to the second display screen.

9. The display method according to claim 8, wherein

upon operation of a page key while the second display screen is displayed, the function for each key in the plurality of keys in the key set is changed, the page key positioned externally to the display section.

10. A non-transitory record medium having instructions stored thereon, which when executed by a processor in a reproduction apparatus causes the processor to execute a display method of the reproduction apparatus that has a display section, the display method comprising the steps of:

selecting one display screen of a first display screen, a second display screen, and a third display screen,

the first display screen displaying a picture corresponding to an externally input video signal or a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section and information about the video signal in different areas,

the second display screen displaying

information corresponding to a function each key in a plurality of keys performs upon operation, the information corresponding to and aligned with a position of each key in the plurality of keys, each key in the plurality of keys positioned externally to the display section, and

the picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section in different areas, the plurality of keys included on a panel adjacently disposed to the display section, the third display screen displaying only the picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to the video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section; and

displaying the selected display screen on the display section, wherein, upon display of either one of the first and third display screens, each key from the plurality of keys that compose the key set is configured to cause, upon operation, the display section to switch the display from the first or third display screen to the second display screen.

11. The non-transitory record medium of claim 10, wherein upon operation of a page key while the second display screen is displayed, the function for each key in the plurality of keys in the key set is changed, the page key positioned externally to the display section.

12. A display apparatus, comprising:

a display section to display a screen;

a reproduction section that reproduces a video signal recorded on a record medium; and

a display control section to select one display screen of a first display screen, a second display screen, and a third display screen and causes the display section to display the selected display screen,

the first display screen to display a picture corresponding to an externally input video signal or a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section and information about the video signal in different areas,

the second display screen to display

information corresponding to a function each key in a plurality of keys performs upon operation, the information corresponding to and aligned with a position of each key in the plurality of keys, each key in the plurality of keys positioned externally to the display section, and

the picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to the video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section in different areas, the plurality of keys included on a panel adjacently disposed to the display section,

the third display screen to display only a picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to the video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section, and

wherein, upon display of either one of the first and third display screens, each key from the plurality of keys that compose the key set is configured to cause, upon operation, the display section to switch the display from the first or third display screen to the second display screen.

13. The display apparatus according to claim 12, wherein

upon operation of a page key while the second display screen is displayed, the function for each key in the plurality of keys in the key set is changed, the page key positioned externally to the display section.

14. A display method of a display apparatus having a display section, the display method comprising the steps of:

selecting one display screen of a first display screen, a second display screen, and a third display screen,

the first display screen displaying a picture corresponding to an externally input video signal or a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section and information about the video signal in different areas,

the second display screen displaying

information corresponding to a function each key in a plurality of keys performs upon operation, the information corresponding to and aligned with a position of each key in the plurality of keys, each key in the plurality of keys positioned externally to the display section, and

the picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to a video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section in different areas, the plurality of keys included on a panel adjacently disposed to the display section,

the third display screen displaying only the picture corresponding to the externally input video signal or corresponding to the video signal that is reproduced by the reproduction section; and

causing the display section to display the selected display screen,

wherein, upon display of either one of the first and third display screens, each key from the plurality of keys that compose the key set is configured to cause, upon operation, the display section to switch the display from the first or third display screen to the second display screen.

15. The display method according to claim 14, wherein

upon operation of a page key while the second display screen is displayed, the function for each key in the plurality of keys in the key set is changed, the page key positioned external to the display section.
