1. A receiver, comprising:

  • a low noise amplifier module coupled to receive and amplify a Multiple Frequency Bands Multiple Standards (MFBMS) signal to produce an amplified MFBMS signal;

    a down conversion module for converting the amplified MFBMS signal into a down converted signal, wherein the down converted signal includes a desired signal component and an undesired signal component; and

    a signal adjust module for determining spectral positioning of the undesired signal component with respect to the desired signal component and adjusting the down converted signal based on the spectral positioning to substantially reduce adverse affects of the undesired signal component on the desired signal component to produce an adjusted down converted signal, the signal adjust module including;

    a plurality of filters for filtering the down converted signal to produce a plurality of filtered signal components;

    a plurality of analog to digital converters coupled to convert the plurality of filtered signal components into a plurality of digital filtered signals, wherein one of the plurality of digital filtered signals corresponds to the undesired signal component;

    a successive interference cancellation module for processing the one of the digital filtered signals to produce a digital version of the undesired signal component; and

    a subtraction module for subtracting the digital version of the undesired signal component from the down converted signal to produce the adjusted down converted signal.
