1. A method of detecting a disconnected or partially disconnected lead from a signal generator of a spinal cord stimulation system, wherein the lead includes two or more electrodes as part of an electrical circuit for delivering a therapy signal when the lead is implanted proximate to a patient'"'"'s spinal cord region, the method comprising:

  • applying an electrical signal to at least one of the electrodes on the lead;

    sampling the electrical signal to detect an impedance of the electrical circuit;

    detecting an open circuit in the electrical circuit based on the impedance; and

    providing an indication of a disconnected or partially disconnected lead when an open circuit is detected.
