1. A computer-implemented method for managing stakeholder impact on sustainability for an organization, the method comprising:

  • storing in one or more memory modules of a computer system a plurality of instances of a stakeholder object, each of the plurality of instances of the stakeholder object defining a plurality of characteristics of a stakeholder of the organization, the plurality of characteristics comprising;

    a first indication of an extent to which a stakeholder interest actually aligns with an organizational interest; and

    a second indication of an extent to which the stakeholder interest is optimally aligned with the organizational interest;

    establishing a computer-based logical link between a particular one of the plurality of the stakeholder objects to a sustainability project of the organization, the sustainability project of the organization stored in the one or more memory modules of the computer system tracking, by a computer unit, the sustainability project of the organization;

    determining that the particular stakeholder object associated with a particular stakeholder of the organization is logically linked to the sustainability project of the organization;

    based on the plurality of characteristics defined by the particular stakeholder object that is logically linked to the sustainability project, automatically generating by the computer unit a customized progress report of the sustainability project of the organization; and

    determining that the first indication of the extent to which the stakeholder interest actually aligns with the organizational interest differs from a second indication of the extent to which the stakeholder interest is optimally aligned with the organizational interest;

    automatically generating an alert in response to a determination that the first indication differs from the second indication by a predetermined amount; and

    in response to determining that the first indication differs from the second indication by the predetermined amount, automatically transferring the alert and the customized progress report to the particular stakeholder of the organization, wherein the progress report is transferred in a desired format.
