1. A system comprising:
- an intellectual property commercialization processor,a tangible, non-transitory memory configured to communicate with the processor,the tangible, non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising;
receiving, by the processor and from a requestor, a subchannel registration request for a subchannel, wherein the subchannel registration request comprises subchannel parameters;
determining, by the processor and based on at least one of the requestor and the subchannel parameters, that the subchannel registration request is associated with a healthcare channel;
determining, by the processor and based on the healthcare channel, a first category to associate with the subchannel;
saving, by the processor and to the memory, the subchannel comprising the subchannel parameters and the first category;
displaying, by the processor, a plurality of channels in a channel guide interface, wherein the plurality of channels comprises at least one of the subchannel and the healthcare channel;
accessing, by the processor and in response to selection of the subchannel, a healthcare database; and
providing, by the processor and based on a referral algorithm, a referral to a member in the healthcare database.

Abstract
A comprehensive platform for merchandising intellectual property (IP) and conducting IP transactions is disclosed. A standardized data collection method enables IP assets to be characterized, rated and valuated in a consistent manner. Project management, workflow and data security functionality enable consistent, efficient and secure interactions between the IP Marketplace participants throughout the IP transaction process. Business rules, workflows, valuation models and rating methods may be user defined or based upon marketplace, industry or technology standards.

19. A computer-based method comprising:
-
receiving, by a computer-based system for IP commercialization and from a requestor, a subchannel registration request for a subchannel, wherein the subchannel registration request comprises subchannel parameters; determining, by the computer-based system and based on at least one of the requestor and the subchannel parameters, that the subchannel registration request is associated with a healthcare channel; determining, by the computer-based system and based on the healthcare channel, a first category to associate with the subchannel; saving, by the computer-based system and to the memory, the subchannel comprising the subchannel parameters and the first category; displaying, by the computer-based system, a plurality of Channels in a channel guide interface, wherein the plurality of channels comprises at least one of the subchannel and the healthcare channel; accessing, by the computer-based system and in response to selection of the subchannel, a healthcare database; and providing, by the computer-based system and based on a referral algorithm, a referral to a member in the healthcare database.

20. An article of manufacture including a tangible, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by a computer-based system for IP commercialization, cause the computer-based system to perform operations comprising:
-
receiving, by the computer-based system and from a requestor, a subchannel registration request for a subchannel, wherein the subchannel registration request comprises subchannel parameters; determining, by the computer-based system and based on at least one of the requester and the subchannel parameters, that the subchannel registration request is associated with a healthcare channel; determining, by the computer-based system and based on the healthcare channel, a first category to associate with the subchannel; saving, by the computer-based system and to the memory, the subchannel comprising the subchannel parameters and the first category; displaying, by the computer-based system, a plurality of channels in a channel guide interface, wherein the plurality of channels comprises at least one of the subchannel and the healthcare channel; accessing, by the computer-based system and in response to selection of the subchannel, a healthcare database; and providing, by the computer-based system and based on a referral algorithm, a referral to a member in the healthcare database.
