1. A method for paging a terminal in a wireless access system, the method performed by the terminal and comprising:

  • receiving a deregistration command message from a first base station, the deregistration command message comprising one or more paging offsets for the terminal and one or more paging group identifiers for identifying one or more paging groups assigned to the terminal;

    entering an idle mode;

    receiving paging information from a second base station at a first subframe of a first frame of a superframe during a paging listening interval, the paging information comprising one or more paging group identifiers for identifying one or more paging groups to which the second base station belongs; and

    determining whether at least one of the one or more paging groups to which the second base station belongs is the same as the one or more paging groups assigned to the terminal by using the paging information; and

    receiving a paging message during the paging listening interval if it is determined that at least one of the one or more paging groups to which the second base station belongs is the same as the one or more paging groups assigned to the terminal.
