- a therapy module implantable within a mammalian body that provides a given therapy, the therapy module being without its own source of operating power;
a control module implantable within the mammalian body that effects the therapy provided by the therapy module, the control module being physically separate from the therapy module and including a power source; and
a wireless transmission link from the control module to the therapy module,wherein, the control module is arranged to provide the therapy module with operating power over the wireless power transmission link only when the therapy module is providing the given therapy.
