Method and apparatus for managing content tagging and tagged content
First Claim
1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
- receiving a registration request comprising registration information associated with a content capture device;
associating the registration information with a user account, wherein the user account is associated with a first user;
managing, based on association of the registration information with the user account, automatic tagging of one or more objects depicted in content captured via the content capture device;
receiving a request by a second user to access object information associated with an object included within tagged content owned by the first user; and
propagating, toward the second user based on a determination that the second user is permitted to access the object information, an information structure associated with the tagged content including the object, wherein the information structure includes the object information associated with the object.

Abstract
A content tagging and management capability is provided for enabling automatic tagging of content and management of tagged content. A registration capability is provided for enabling creation of a user account and association of information with the user account where the information is adapted for supporting automatic content tagging and management of tagged content. An object information management capability is provided for enabling access to object information which may be used when automatically tagging content. A tagged content access capability is provided for enabling access to an information structure by an end user viewing tagged content. A tagged content ownership management and remuneration capability is provided for enabling management of content ownership for tagged content of end users and for managing associated remuneration which may be provided to end user when tagged content is accessed.

5. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
-
receiving a request for object information associated with an object included within captured content received at a user device; propagating at least a portion of the object information toward the user device, for use in automatically tagging the captured content, based on a determination that a user is permitted to access at least a portion of the object information associated with the object; receiving, from an owner or administrator of the object, a request to modify the object information associated with the object; and modifying the object information associated with the object in response to the request to modify the object information. - View Dependent Claims (6, 7, 8, 9)

10. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
-
receiving a request to store a tagged content item and storing the tagged content item; receiving a request indicative of selection of a content tag of the tagged content item, wherein the content tag is associated with an object depicted in the tagged content item, wherein the selection of the content tag is associated with a user device and a user, wherein the content tag has an information structure associated therewith, wherein the information structure comprises information associated with the object and has associated therewith a plurality of permission levels for controlling access to portions of the information associated with the object; determining a permission level of the user, wherein the permission level of the user corresponds to one of the permission levels associated with the information structure; and propagating, toward the user device based on the permission level of the user, a response indicative as to which portion of the information associated with the object to present via the user device. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12)

13. A computer-implemented method, comprising:
-
associating a content item with a user account of a first user, wherein the first user is an owner of the content item; detecting a request to access a version of the content item that is made available by a second user; identifying the content item from the request to access the version of the content item that is made available by the second user, wherein identifying the content item from the request to access the version of the content item that is made available by the second user comprises identifying a content item identifier associated with the content item, wherein the content item identifier is embedded within the version of the content item that is made available by the second user; identifying the first user as being the owner of the content item associated with the version of the content item that is made available by the second user; and initiating a process for remunerating the first user for the request to access the version of the content item that is made available by the second user. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15)
